From towering forests to whale watching, fine food and wine to world class surfing, Australia's South West offers some of the most varied travel experiences in Western Australia.

Car Travel

Australia's South West has a good network of roads and signs. All main roads are sealed and travelling distances between towns and attractions is relatively short. It is an ideal region to self drive. Car hire is available from Perth and all major South West towns.

Bus Travel

Transwa operates bus services to most towns in the region, as well as a train service between Perth and Bunbury.

Train Travel

The Australind provides the vital link in rail-road service network throughout the State's south west. The Australind operates a twice daily service between Perth and Bunbury, taking approximately 2.5 hours dubbed "the train that thinks it's a plane".

Travel by Flight

A daily air service operates between Perth and Albany with Skywest Airlines. Chartered flights, from operators such as Axiom Aviation, are available to most major towns from Perth.

Travel by Cruise

The port cities of Albany and Bunbury are becoming increasingly popular with cruise lines with a growing number of passenger ships calling in each year. For information on cruise ship schedules, visit Albany Port Authority and Bunbury Port Authority.
