The Great Forest Trees Drive in Shannon National Park is a 48 kilometre scenic drive trail through spectacular Karri forest. Unique to this scenic drive is the national park’s own FM radio commentary which broadcasts informative stories about the park at signposted stops throughout your drive.

Stop at one of several charming picnic and information spots to have a stretch and enjoy the natural surrounds. Appreciate the age and grandeur of the tall trees as they tower up to the sky.

If you have time, it is worth seeing some of the forest on foot by taking one of the many walk trails in the park. One of the more popular walks will take you to the National Park’s Dam which is a spectacular sight. Spending the night at one of the park’s camp sites will allow you more time to explore this magnificent area.

Located just south of Pemberton, four and a half hours drive south of Perth, the Great Forest Trees Drive promises to be a memorable experience.
