Outdoor Entertainment

West Australians love to play in the great outdoors.

Everything from music and cinema to ballet and opera is performed in the fresh open air - often at night, under a twinkling star-filled sky.

It's simply magic.

Spend an enchanting evening with a top billing singing sensation and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, as they play on a balmy summer night at the prestigious Lake Karrinyup Country Club.

Or head down south for the famous Leeuwin Concert Series - a musical feast that began in 1985.

The sweeping parklands, fragrant wildflowers and flourishing botanic gardens of Kings Park are where you'll find a series of spectacular summer concerts.

Joe Cocker, Ben Folds and Elvis Costello have all played memorable sets beside the swaying illuminated eucalypts.

At Sandalford Winery in the Swan Valley, pack a picnic hamper and a rug and enjoy 'A Day on the Green' - an annual musical spectacular held beside the vines.

Past performers at Sandalford include Dionne Warwick, Diana Krall and Marcia Hines.

In the Swan Valley, you'll also find Houghton's Winery.

Houghton's lush landscaped grounds play host to the much-loved Shakespeare in the Vines each year.
