The event includes the long-distance SunSmart Busselton 100, a two-kilometre swim alongside the iconic Busselton Jetty, an 80-kilometre cycle through the Tuart Forest and an 18 kilometre run along the Busselton Foreshore. Open to individuals or get your A-team together and split the 100-kilometre distance between you as a relay team! The weekend offers a range of festival events for upcoming athletes looking to dip their toes into the world of triathlon in a fun and exciting way. Events include the popular Busselton Foreshore Triathlon, perfect for those new to triathlon looking for a light-hearted introduction. The SunSmart Kids Triathlon is great for the little ones eager to give it a go themselves. They encourage fancy dress and parents with prams to take part. Balancing Act
Our story is not one story, but many stories to share. Balancing Act features Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander works of art from the State Art Collection. In this exhibition, you will encounter a vast range of material revealing the wide scope of First Nations truth-telling and art-making practice. Radical observations about the ups and downs of life are placed side by side with expressions of relationships with Custodial Country; the locations and places artists and communities care for, according to their kin and family ties with place. Different versions of history are told, at times emotional and challenging, alongside moments of great beauty and poignancy. Many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists use their cultural production to investigate feelings and unpack ideas around identity in the wake of colonisation. Others use their work as a way to support and express their own grief and healing, as well as to express joy and cultural belonging. Balancing Act invites you to be surprised, delighted and challenged by the stories told through the eyes of First Nations artists and their works of art.

Yhonnie Scarce: The Light of Day
Internationally recognised Kokatha and Nukunu artist Yhonnie Scarce brings her luminous and powerful works to The Art Gallery of Western Australia in the largest-ever ensemble of her collected glass and mixed-media works seen in Australia, for the Perth Festival in 2024. One of the country's leading contemporary artists, Scarce is known for her large-scale, unforgettable glass installations that reveal hidden stories of Australia's foray into nuclear testing, and the impacts of colonisation on First Nations people, illuminating the artist's desire to bring the darkest shadows of Australia's past into the direct light of day. The exhibition is accompanied by a new monograph published by AGWA in collaboration with Power Publishing. The 170-page hardcover publication features full-colour plate images, fold outs and essays by Timmah Ball, Kelly Gellatly, Natalie Harkin and Tamsin Hong, with an interview between exhibition curator Clothilde Bullen and Yhonnie Scarce.

Krakatoa Concert: Volcanic Cataclysm, Shockwaves & Sunsets
Based on the events of the very physical shockwaves embracing the eruption (and the complete explosion of the entire Island) of Krakatoa on 27th August in 1883, this new work Krakatoa - Volcanic Cataclysm, Shockwaves & Sunsets for solo violin in five movements describes the event through music, and the energy of shockwaves, volcanic ash and a huge Tsunami it sent out into the oceans and nearby lands, and for several years afterwards the red sunsets it caused all over the world from the volcanic ash in the atmosphere. These sunsets have been recorded in paintings by famous painters such as William Ascroft in England and Edvard Munch in Norway and many others, documenting this volcanic event. So the sonata as much as with the science of seismology, vulnology and the stories of ships and seafarers also ends up with a deep connection to art, for it is in art in which humanity goes for sanctuary to restore themselves. Seating is limited to people who need it (eg elderly and lesser-abled). Due to the unusual nature of the space the concept is that this is a standing and moving around experience. Rupert Guenther is a Perth-based Vienna-trained violinist-composer and he has produced over 35 albums and thousands of concerts premiering almost a thousand new works, entirely through breathtaking improvisations.

Nyumbi means celebration dance in Nyoongar language. Experience a celebration of Nyoongar culture through song, dance and language, as local performers share their rich culture and history. Every Saturday, visitors are invited to experience this 45 minute, free event, including a smoking ceremony and celebration dance from a different Nyoongar performance group each week. Continue your journey into the Museum exhibition Ngalang Koort, Boodja Wirn – Our Heart, Country, Spirit in Wesfarmers Arts gallery, or join a guided tour through the Museum to experience Boola Bardip – ‘many stories’ from Aboriginal communities from around Western Australia. WA Museum Boola Bardip is on Whajduk Nyoongar boodjar. Nyoongar peoples are the Traditional Owners of the south-west boodjar (country) that covers the land from Jurien Bay, to Moora, and to the south coast between Bremer Bay and Esperance. There are 14 clans in Nyoongar nation. The WA Museum acknowledges the diversity that exists in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages and that the spelling of words may also vary. The weekend offers a range of festival events for upcoming athletes looking to dip their toes into the world of triathlon in a fun and exciting way. Events include the popular Busselton Foreshore Triathlon, perfect for those new to triathlon looking for a light-hearted introduction. Balancing Act
Our story is not one story, but many stories to share. Balancing Act features Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander works of art from the State Art Collection. In this exhibition, you will encounter a vast range of material revealing the wide scope of First Nations truth-telling and art-making practice. Radical observations about the ups and downs of life are placed side by side with expressions of relationships with Custodial Country; the locations and places artists and communities care for, according to their kin and family ties with place. Different versions of history are told, at times emotional and challenging, alongside moments of great beauty and poignancy. Many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists use their cultural production to investigate feelings and unpack ideas around identity in the wake of colonisation. Others use their work as a way to support and express their own grief and healing, as well as to express joy and cultural belonging. Balancing Act invites you to be surprised, delighted and challenged by the stories told through the eyes of First Nations artists and their works of art.

Yhonnie Scarce: The Light of Day
Internationally recognised Kokatha and Nukunu artist Yhonnie Scarce brings her luminous and powerful works to The Art Gallery of Western Australia in the largest-ever ensemble of her collected glass and mixed-media works seen in Australia, for the Perth Festival in 2024. One of the country's leading contemporary artists, Scarce is known for her large-scale, unforgettable glass installations that reveal hidden stories of Australia's foray into nuclear testing, and the impacts of colonisation on First Nations people, illuminating the artist's desire to bring the darkest shadows of Australia's past into the direct light of day. The exhibition is accompanied by a new monograph published by AGWA in collaboration with Power Publishing. The 170-page hardcover publication features full-colour plate images, fold outs and essays by Timmah Ball, Kelly Gellatly, Natalie Harkin and Tamsin Hong, with an interview between exhibition curator Clothilde Bullen and Yhonnie Scarce.

Krakatoa Concert: Volcanic Cataclysm, Shockwaves & Sunsets
Based on the events of the very physical shockwaves embracing the eruption (and the complete explosion of the entire Island) of Krakatoa on 27th August in 1883, this new work Krakatoa - Volcanic Cataclysm, Shockwaves & Sunsets for solo violin in five movements describes the event through music, and the energy of shockwaves, volcanic ash and a huge Tsunami it sent out into the oceans and nearby lands, and for several years afterwards the red sunsets it caused all over the world from the volcanic ash in the atmosphere. These sunsets have been recorded in paintings by famous painters such as William Ascroft in England and Edvard Munch in Norway and many others, documenting this volcanic event. So the sonata as much as with the science of seismology, vulnology and the stories of ships and seafarers also ends up with a deep connection to art, for it is in art in which humanity goes for sanctuary to restore themselves. Seating is limited to people who need it (eg elderly and lesser-abled). Due to the unusual nature of the space the concept is that this is a standing and moving around experience. Rupert Guenther is a Perth-based Vienna-trained violinist-composer and he has produced over 35 albums and thousands of concerts premiering almost a thousand new works, entirely through breathtaking improvisations.

The market space attracts growers and producers who are organic, biodynamic, in organic conversion or are passionate about ethical and sustainable produce. The markets are held outside, nestled amongst their green courtyard, creating a connection with the café and nursery for a warm and inviting atmosphere. Come and grab some fresh and homemade produce, relax and have a beautifully prepared breakfast at the Luma Café. Perth City Farm's focus is to support local, organic and biodynamic growers and producers through making their produce directly available to the Perth community. There is a Perth City Farm stall each week, run by dedicated volunteers. They sell farm-fresh produce and organic products from their farm-door shop. A range of other stallholders join them week to week with their incredible produce.

Nyumbi means celebration dance in Nyoongar language. Experience a celebration of Nyoongar culture through song, dance and language, as local performers share their rich culture and history. Every Saturday, visitors are invited to experience this 45 minute, free event, including a smoking ceremony and celebration dance from a different Nyoongar performance group each week. Continue your journey into the Museum exhibition Ngalang Koort, Boodja Wirn – Our Heart, Country, Spirit in Wesfarmers Arts gallery, or join a guided tour through the Museum to experience Boola Bardip – ‘many stories’ from Aboriginal communities from around Western Australia. WA Museum Boola Bardip is on Whajduk Nyoongar boodjar. Nyoongar peoples are the Traditional Owners of the south-west boodjar (country) that covers the land from Jurien Bay, to Moora, and to the south coast between Bremer Bay and Esperance. There are 14 clans in Nyoongar nation. The WA Museum acknowledges the diversity that exists in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages and that the spelling of words may also vary. Proudly supported by Tourism WA, City of Perth and produced by Karla Hart Enterprises.
