西オーストラリア州には、70以上の国立公園や海洋公園があり、また2千万ヘクタール以上のエリアに無数の州立森林レクリエーション施設があります。ほとんどの公園、レクリエーション施設には、ピクニック・エリアや水やトイレといった基本的な設備以外にもウォーキング・コースや、様々なアトラクションが整備されています。

12,000種以上のワイルドフラワーが5ヶ月間に渡って州のあちらこちらで花開きます。固有の珍しいワイルドフラワーが数多くあり、優雅な花々が緑に色を添えます。
