- Nicole Kidman stars as Lady Sarah Ashley, an English aristocrat who inherits the cattle station, Faraway Downs.
- Born on 20 June 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii, but moved to Sydney, Australia, when she was four years old.
- After making various appearances in film and television, Kidman received her breakthrough role in the 1989 thriller Dead Calm.
- In 1990 she starred opposite Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder. Kidman first met Cruise on the set of the film, and they were married on Christmas Eve the same year.
- The couple adopted two children, Isabella and Connor, but separated before their 10th wedding anniversary.
