| Gibb River Road |
Gorge country and some of the most spectacular scenery on earth is found along the rugged Gibb River Road. Really a 670 kilometre long 'bush track' that connects the remote Kimberley cattle stations to Derby and Kununurra, it allows access to virtually untouched natural assets of the Kimberley wilderness.
The road cuts through King Leopold Range, Philips Range, Barnett Range, Gibb Range, Mosquito Hills, Pentecost Range and the Cockburn Range. Wildlife concentrates around the densely vegetated waterholes, creeks and many gorges. See prolific birdlife and wildlife, unique flora and the many families of Boab trees. |
Tackle the Gibb River Road by 4WD on a tour or self drive for more adventure. Along the way sleep under the stars at one of the stations or campsites. However you 'do' the Gibb River Road - it is an outback four wheel drive adventure never to be forgotten. |
