Broome - Situated in the State's far north, a two and a half hour flight from Perth, Broome is an oasis of colour, culture and eclectic characters and is the western gateway to the magnificent Kimberley region. Broome's famous Cable Beach, with 22 kilometres of white sand kissed by warm, crystal waters, is the ideal place to watch the sunset on a balmy, tropical night.
Kununurra - Kununurra, meaning 'big water' in the local Indigenous language, is the eastern gateway to the ancient landscape that is the Kimberley – one of the world’s last true wilderness areas. The town itself is relatively young, built in the early 1960s to serve the Ord River Irrigation Project, however the landscape has been traversed for centuries by Aboriginal people.
Purnululu National Park - The World Heritage listed Purnululu National Park offers a remote wilderness experience and is a unique example of geological evolution. Famous for the unique Bungle Bungle Range, which rises up to 578 metres above sea level and stands 200 to 300 metres above woodland. The huge black and orange stripes across the beehive-like mounds are clearly visible when you visit the park.
Mitchell River National Park - For outback scenery and Aboriginal culture, Mitchell River National Park is among the best in Australia. Here you can see spectacular landscapes including the Mitchell Plateau and the thundering Mitchell Falls. In full flood, the Mitchell Falls are an amazing sight. Go bushwalking and take a refreshing dip in the water, or take a plane or chopper ride over the falls and you'll feel all of their majestic power.
Gibb River Road Journey - Gorge country and some of the most spectacular scenery on earth is found along the rugged Gibb River Road. Really a 670 kilometre long 'bush track' that connects the remote Kimberley cattle stations to Derby and Kununurra, it allows access to virtually untouched natural assets of the Kimberley wilderness.
Faraway Bay - Faraway Bay provides unrivalled luxury for a bush camp, with eight spacious cabins dotted amongst the natural bush setting, offering privacy and 180-degree views of the spectacular cliff-lined bay. Walk on untouched beaches, swim in natural freshwater pools and explore the surrounding wilderness of this untouched environment.
