Located on Carnamah's main street, The Exchange is a former showroom and mechanical garage transformed into a multipurpose community, arts and visitor centre.

It includes a community loungeroom, free book exchange, tourist and visitor information, a learning hub providing free computer and internet access, hosts open studios of artists undertaking residencies with North Midlands Project, and is used as an event space.
