The Visitors Centre conduct a range of tours including Town Hall and Town walking tours and for those people wanting the comfort of a coach, they can join the group and provide a running commentary.
Town Hall tours run for approximately 45 minutes (charges apply) and cover the rich history of the Town Hall since its construction in 1911.
Walking groups are also catered for with walks along Avon Terrace uncovering the architecture of buildings constructed between 1870 and 1910. Other walks are available highlighting buildings from 1850 to 1890.
Should you be part of a coach tour, one of the friendly staff can organize a route and commentary to illustrate the rich variety of heritage and historical buildings in York.
