Of particular interest are the river gums that line the banks, and some are quite massive. When breezes are light, the reflections are a photographer's delight. Quiet nature lovers will often observe plenty of wildlife including waterbirds, corellas and schools of large fish milling near the surface. It is not uncommon to see big goannas also known as bungarras. Enjoy this peaceful spot with great views back to Mount Augustus.
The Corella Trail is an easy trail that begins mid-way along the south bank of Goolinee Cattle Pool and runs parallel to the Lyons River. This is an excellent place to quietly observe wildlife.
