A magical and whimsical world of forest creatures awaits – but not as you know it. Thomas Dambo’s Giants of Mandurah (Mandjoogoordap), a free world-class outdoor installation by internationally acclaimed Danish artist Thomas Dambo, lands in the Mandurah (Mandjoogoordap) and Peel region of Western Australia from 12 November 2022.

Towering up to five metres high, Dambo’s artworks are an evocative, playful and gentle reminder of the environmental impact humans have had on the earth. Dambo’s work has a deep sustainability focus, with each sculpture carefully handcrafted from recycled, mostly locally sourced, timber.

Dambo has created over 80 sculptures across the world, and you’ll find his installations in locations ranging from the forests and mountains of the United States to Puerto Rico, Denmark and South Korea. In this latest edition of the series, the unique wooden structures will call Australia home, shining a spotlight on the outstanding beauty of the areas in and around the Peel Inlet, Harvey Estuary, Greenfields, Dawesville and other locations close to Mandurah's (Mandjoogoordap's) town centre.

An hour’s drive south of Perth, Mandurah (Mandjoogoordap) is the perfect jumping-off point to experience Thomas Dambo’s Giants in Western Australia for yourself.
