Mitchell Falls Campground is located in Mitchell Falls National Park, home to majestic waterfalls, gorges, Aboriginal rock art and a number of sites of cultural significance to the Wunambal Gaambera people.

The campground is at the end of Mitchell Falls Track next to Mertens Creek, and has designated areas for campers with and without generators. Pit toilets are available at Mertens Creek.

Some campsites have their own firering. Firewood must be collected before entering the park. Firewood collecting areas are signposted along Port Warrender Road. Preferably use your own portable gas or fuel stove.

There is a swimming area downstream of the start of the walk trail. Soaps and detergents are not permitted in the creeks and rivers. It is recommended that water is boiled or otherwise treated before drinking.

An Uunguu Visitor Pass is required for entry to the park, and additional permits may also apply for some activities and modes of transport. For pricing and to purchase a visitor pass https://wunambalgaambera.org.au/visitors/uunguu-visitor-pass.

Purchase the Visitor Pass online before arriving at the park as there is no public internet/phone access on Wunambal Gaambera Country.

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions no longer charges national park entry fees at Mitchell River National Park but camping fees still apply at campgrounds.
