Arborists and nature lovers will be stunned by the variety of exotic trees in the Big Brook Arboretum.

Browse through the park to see the enormous collection of trees which were initially planted to determine their resilience to the soil conditions and climate, and stay for a picnic lunch in their shade.

Nearby Big Brook Dam is also worth a visit for swimming, canoeing and bushwalking. Surrounded by karri forest, it's a great spot to soak in the crystal blue water or sunbathe on the sandy beach.

Camp facilities are available in the Arboretum. Or if the thought of carting the tent, bedding and cooking gear is a bit much, take advantage of the camp set-up services on offer in the area.

Enjoy a drive along the Karri Forest Explorer Drive to reach the Big Brook Arboretum, near Pemberton, which is a 4 hour drive south of Perth.
