Stirling Square is a picturesque open space, opposite the Meadow Street heritage precinct in the charming historic town of Guildford, located just a 20-minute train or drive east of Perth city.

The square offers a serene parkland vista, where visitors can stroll beneath majestic sugar gums while soaking in Guildford's natural beauty and rich heritage.

Follow the Stirling Square Circuit, one of four heritage walk trails, where you can learn the history of Guildford. As you wander, you will encounter interpretive panels, the Kaleep Aboriginal Hearth Artwork, playground, historic rose beds, tranquil duck pond, and monuments commemorating Guildford's military history, including the striking Guildford 10th Light Horse statue.

Originally known as Church Square, Stirling Square was set aside and surveyed in 1829.
At its heart stands St. Matthew's Church, built in 1873. Both the church and square are deeply entwined with the town's original plan and military past. Stirling Square continues to be a focal point of community life where commemorations such Anzac Day and Gunner's Day take place, and vibrant markets and special events are held throughout the year.

Located adjacent to Stirling Square is the multi-award-winning Swan Valley Visitor Centre.
