Jack Robinson - Gnaraloo, Ningaloo (Nyinggulu)

1. Gnaraloo, Ningaloo (Nyinggulu)

It’s a special place, and one of the most beautiful waves in the world, from when it’s small to when it’s big! Fishing up there is also amazing, you are surrounded by nature, you really appreciate its true beauty when you are present there!

Surfing in Kalbarri along Australia's Coral Coast

Surfing, Kalbarri - Australia's Coral Coast

2. Jakes Point, Kalbarri (Wurdimarlu)

I grew up driving up north for week or month-long surf trips. My parents and I would pack our car and head north all the way to Gnaraloo. Kalbarri is halfway to Gnaraloo and we would always stop there on the way in and back from the desert. I have incredible memories from surfing Jakes Point, it's a long left and super rippable! This wave is so unique because you can see the landscape from the water and it is both a barrel and a maneuvers wave which is super cool.  My most recent trip to Kalbarri was during my honeymoon, we camped all the way from Kalbarri to Exmouth, we will never forget these moments. My wife had a lovely time surfing the bay, which is right by Jakes Point and a super mellow wave.

3. Margaret River Mouth or Main Break, Margaret River Region

I grew up surfing this wave, it was the breeding ground for my surfing skills and one of the most fun waves when it’s good!

Surfing 'The Box' in Margaret River

Surfing 'The Box', Margaret River

4. The Box, Margaret River Region

(One of the breaks used for the World Surf League’s Western Australia Margaret River Pro) The box is insane, it’s really heavy, it breaks over a really shallow ledge of rocks. I surfed the River Mouth for years until I felt comfortable enough to go out to The Box, which is directly outside of the River Mouth.

Surfing a wave at Northpoint in Gracetown

Northpoint, Gracetown

5. Northpoint, Margaret River Region

One of my favorite waves in the world. You get a really long barrel right into the biggest aerial section of your life! I grew up surfing this wave too, it was always a fun adventure spending the whole day in Gracetown, surfing in the morning then breaking for meat pie at the bay store, watching the waves then heading back out to surf for the rest of the day!
