Where Dream Events Happen

Western Australia will host some of the most exciting events in the Southern Hemisphere. SailGP makes its WA debut in Fremantle/Walyalup from 17-18 January, bringing adrenaline-fueled sailing action to the iconic port city. Sports fans can also celebrate the return of AFL Origin after 26 years, with Perth/Boorloo hosting the legendary interstate clash at Optus Stadium on 14 February, the only Origin fixture scheduled for 2026.

Food and culture lovers will be spoilt for choice. Taste Great Southern returns from 5-8 March, showcasing the region’s finest produce and culinary talent. Adding to the magic, Albany/Kinjarling will glow under the spell of Lighting the Sound, a breathtaking outdoor installation by Finnish artist Kari Kola. Running for nine nights in March, this Australian-exclusive display will illuminate King George Sound as part of Albany’s bicentenary celebrations, blending art, nature, and Noongar culture in a spectacle unlike any other.

Further north, the Kimberley will celebrate 25 years of the Ord Valley Muster from 15-24 May. This iconic festival offers a vibrant program of Aboriginal culture, music, food, and art, cementing its place as a highlight of WA’s event calendar.

Down south, Heyscape Denmark is expanding its dreamy cabin offerings, with 12 new eco-friendly cabins overlooking ocean, karri forest, and valley vistas. Completion is expected by March 2026, making it the perfect retreat for nature lovers.

Looking ahead, luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent is developing an eco-lodge in Purnululu National Park, home to the world-famous Bungle Bungle Range. Opening in 2027, this culturally sensitive lodge will offer an unparalleled Kimberley experience in partnership with the Billingjul Aboriginal Corporation.
