Wander through Collie's streets and discover a contemporary collection of artwork with a story painted on every wall. The Collie Mural Trail is a vibrant open-air gallery connecting the Collie town centre with the stunning Wellington Dam.
Featuring over 40 large-scale murals, many by talented local artists, the trail celebrates the region's rich heritage, from its coal mining roots and natural wonders to local characters and community spirit.
Artworks range from those painted early in the town's history, such as the Anglican Church mural painted in 1922 by Artist Philip Goatcher, to recent works by Western Australian artists added in 2020/2021.
At its heart lies the monumental "Reflections" mega-mural, a concept that was inspired by local stories and photographs. Painted by renowned artist Guido van Helten, it stretches 8,000 square metres across the Wellington Dam wall in Wellington National Park.
Whether you're following the trail map or joining a guided walk with Forest Explorers, the Collie Mural Trail invites you to see the town through a creative lens, and maybe even spot a few hidden Wambengers along the way.
For more information on the Collie Mural Trail, visit their website, or pick up a map from the Collie Visitor Centre or Kiosk at the Dam.
