The Forest Discovery Centre (FDC) welcomes the community and visitors. It is recognised for its environmental interpretive centre, fine wood craft and walk trails. The vibrant regional hub nurtures learning and creativity in the arts, natural environment and local heritage.

The unique leaf-shaped building set on 17 hectares of Jarrah forest is 1 kilometre from Dwellingup town centre - just follow the Emu Walk Trail from town.

Inside you'll find a retail gallery and shop showcasing quality wood arts, craft and furniture. There is an environment interpretive centre and equipped workshops available for lease for woodworking, arts and crafts makers.

Explore and experience the interpretive centre and the walk trails learning about wildflowers, animals and resources of the forest. Guided tours can be arranged for groups, including billy tea and damper cooked on the open-fire (fire season permitting). A tree-top viewing platform allows visitors to enjoy the bush at canopy height and a hand-made timber cutter’s hut and campfire area can be reached from one of the bush trails.

Just across the track, the Jarrah Forest Lodge offers accommodation in a bush setting for individuals or groups of up to 40 people, including shared kitchen, activity and conference rooms.

It’s a great stopover on the Bibbulmun Track or Munda Biddi Trail and is perfect for groups wanting inexpensive accommodation for arts, education and nature-based stays.
