<p>In Perth, life’s a beach – and there are 19 of the beauties to explore along the coast. Perth’s beaches are blessed with snow-white sands and pristine waters, and attractions abound both above and below water.</p>

<p>Fremantle (Walyalup) has a way of drawing you in and making you want to stay forever. Its charm is found in narrow streets lined with historic buildings, a seagull-scattered port bobbing with fishing boats, one-off shops, unconventional breweries and quirky buskers. It can be reached from central Perth via a 25-minute train ride, or half hour drive along Stirling Highway.</p>

<p>A lifestyle town with a holiday vibe, Mandurah (Mandjoogoordap) combines dolphin spotting and relaxing canal cruises with adventures to lesser-known wetlands and beaches, all within one hour of Perth.</p>

<p>The cool climate haven of Albany (Kinjarling) perches on a placid harbour edged by national park. A rugged coastline of sculpted rocks, peaceful sandy beaches and nature trails through fragrant bush awaits those with a sense of adventure, while fans of local wineries, small wine bars and historic buildings will enjoy slow walks around town.</p>

<p>The town of Denmark is a natural beauty where the rugged wilderness of tall tree forests and tiny, knee-high wildflowers meet emerald green lagoons studded with rounded boulders. Denmark sits peacefully at the end of a five hour road trip, south of Perth. You can also fly in via Albany (Kinjarling), a coastal city 40 minutes away. Limited coach lines reach Denmark.</p>
