The Cossack Heritage Trail is a five-kilometre walk or drive around the town sites. The trail takes in the Tien Tsin lookout which provides a beautiful view across the Indian Ocean including Jarman Island as well as the European and Asian Cemeteries and the Courthouse, which now houses the Cossack Museum. There is also a schoolhouse, storehouse and other heavy arched stone buildings.

Although deserted in the 1950s, Cossack saw its share of the gold fever plus a turtle soup factory and a leprosy hospital during its heyday. This village is rich in history for those visiting the area and who love the desolate Pilbara region.

Please be aware that water is not available in the township and should be bought in by visitors, especially during the warmer times of the year.
