Prepare for an epic adventure!
Internationally renowned Danish artist Thomas Dambo's Australian-first exhibition the 'Giants of Mandurah' launches this November in Mandurah, an hour's drive south of Perth.
Arguably one of his most ambitious projects to date, the 'Giants of Mandurah' is an outdoor exhibition and game of self-discovery that celebrates and champions the protection of the Peel region’s extraordinary natural environment.
Thomas has exhibited extensively throughout the world including in Denmark, USA, France, Germany, China, South Korea and Chile. Both an artist and activist, his practice celebrates the diversity, beauty and importance of the natural world, with his works handmade using recycled and locally sourced materials. Through his trash-to-treasure approach, Thomas highlights the possibilities found in waste and the urgency of environmental sustainability.
The 'Giants of Mandurah' has been initiated and produced by FORM Building A State of Creativity and delivered in collaboration with the City of Mandurah. The project is supported by the State Government through Tourism Western Australia's Regional Events Program, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, and Lotterywest.
